Hemp and Spelt Pandan Naan Bread

These Naan bread is perfect during this crazy time as you can bulk make and freeze them! Not to mention they are super easy to make: no yeast, no rise, no baking. And they pair perfectly with curries/ stews/ dips, or even just by themselves! I love drizzling them with some Hemp oil for healthy fats but also to keep them moist.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spelt flour or plain flour
  • 2 tbsp unflavoured Hemp protein powder   Buy Now
  • Optional but highly recommend: 1 tbsp Pandan Leaf powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup hot water

Directions:

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl then stir in hot water.
  2. Knead with hands for a few times to form a dough.
  3. Divide into 4 round balls (or 8 for mini version) and flatten into flat bread shape, dust in more flour if needed.
  4. Cook each bread on a non-stick pan with a bit of oil until cooked on both sides.
